Compliance & clinical standards.

Clinical Evaluations

Veritas Behavioral Group provides clinical evaluations to determine whether an emotional support animal is appropriate as part of a treatment plan. All evaluations are conducted by licensed behavioral health professionals. Documentation is issued only when medically appropriate.

No Guaranteed Outcomes

Veritas Behavioral Group does not guarantee the issuance of ESA documentation. All outcomes are determined solely by the licensed provider based on their professional clinical judgment after reviewing the patient's history and conducting an evaluation.

Federal Housing Compliance

Our evaluation process follows the federal Fair Housing Act (42 U.S.C. Section 3601 et seq.) and its implementing regulation, 24 C.F.R. Section 100.204, which govern reasonable accommodations in housing. We do not rely on HUD guidance notices on assistance animals: those notices were rescinded in September 2025 and have not been replaced, so documentation resting on them is quoting a withdrawn document.

HIPAA Compliance

All patient health information is handled in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Patient information is collected, stored, and transmitted securely and is used solely for the purpose of the clinical evaluation.

Provider Licensing

All providers in the Veritas Behavioral Group network hold active state licenses in the states where they conduct evaluations. Provider credentials are verified and maintained.

Scope of Services

Veritas Behavioral Group provides clinical behavioral health evaluations only. We do not provide ongoing therapy, medication management, or other clinical services. Our evaluations are for the purpose of determining ESA appropriateness as part of a treatment plan.

Limitation of Liability

Veritas Behavioral Group's liability is limited to the fees paid for the evaluation. We are not responsible for outcomes related to housing decisions, legal proceedings, or any other matters arising from the use or non-use of evaluation documentation.
